Listed company RADIUM Life Tech. Co., LTD. (2547 TW) announces the board of directors resolution to participate in the capital increase by cash of its subsidiary, Rih-Ding Circular Economy Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. (Rih-Ding Holdings), total amount estimated to be NT$ 450 million.
The Radium Group is developing its circular economy business through the 100% wholly owned subsidiary Rih-Ding Holdings. To ensure sufficient working capital and operating capital, Rih-Ding Holdings plans to issue 4.8 million new shares with an issue price of NT$ 93.82 per share to raise total amount of NT$ 450,336,000. The paid-in capital of Rih-Ding Holdings will reach NT$ 683 million after the capital increase. The Radium Group is committed in developing the circular economy business in Taiwan.
Rih-Ding Water Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of major subsidiaries of Rih-Ding Holdings, is implementing the BOT project for Taoyuan District sewerage system. The 35-year BOT project, which began in 2013, involves constructing the sewerage system and operating the waste water treatment plant. The entire project covers approximately 7,610 hectares in six urban planning areas. By end of 2020, Rih-Ding Water had completed the second phase of Taoyuan North District Waste Water Treatment Plant and connected an additional 115 kilometers of underground pipeline into the network. As of the first quarter of 2021, the system is now accessible to over 101,000 households with capacity of treating 100,000 tons of sewage and generating 30,000 tons of reusable water per day. Another subsidiary, Ding-Sheng Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is now implementing BOT Project of Resource Processing Center in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park. An environmental impact assessment is currently underway. The project looks to process an estimated 700 tons of general industrial waste, sludge, waste oil, and waste daily once operations are up and running.
Given the drought on going in Taiwan this year, the decrease in rainfall has not impacted the reclaimed water treated by Rih-Ding Water. With the advanced MBR thin film biological treatment system and BioNET bio-membrane technology used by Rih-Ding Water, the quality of the reclaimed water and effluent discharged is more stable and safer. The water quality is on par with industrial standards for production, car washing and gardening. Rih-Ding Water has opened access to the reclaimed water for neighboring companies, firefighting agencies and communities to help cope with the impact of climate change.
