Radium (2547TW) & CTCI Strategic Alliance held groundbreaking ceremony with Taoyuan City Government

for “Reclaimed Water BTO Project of North District Water Resources Recycling Center in Taoyuan” via project chartered corporation “Bao Ding Reclaimed Water Co., Ltd.”

Radium (2547TW) & CTCI Strategic Alliance held the groundbreaking ceremony with Taoyuan City Government for the “Reclaimed Water BTO (build, transfer, operate) Project of North District Water Resources Recycling Center in Taoyuan” on November 7, 2022, officially announced the project to start.  Radium & CTCI Groups signed investment contract with Taoyuan City Government on June 14, 2022 via project chartered corporation “Bao Ding Reclaimed Water Co., Ltd.

The Taoyuan BTO reclaimed water system is planned to be integrated with Taoyuan sewerage recycling system managed by Radium’s subsidiary Rih Ding Water.  The target is to provide 112,000 metric tons of reclaimed water daily when the whole project accomplished, equivalent to 9% of the water demands in Taoyuan District daily, based on the 2022 analysis of Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs indicating the average water demand in Taoyuan District was around 1.2 million metric tons per day.

The base of project locates on north side of Taoyuan North District Water Recycling Center, at the Nanqing Section of Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, with an area of about 2.5 hectares. The permit period forecasted to be 18 years, including construction period of 3 years and operation period of 15 years. The first phase of project is expected to be completed in 2025, providing 40,000 metric tons of reclaimed water per day, with a reclaimed water treatment plant and water pipeline system reaching 29.92 kilometers to transmit reclaimed water to Guanyin Industrial Park and Taoyuan Refinery Plant.

The chartered corporation Bao Ding Reclaimed Water will be supported by both Radium and CTCI groups. The two groups have participated in public works construction for many years with many awards recognizing their excellences, including the World Gold Winner of FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards 2022, Golden Thumb Award, Golden Quality Award, and FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards, etc.

Taoyuan Reclaimed Water BTO Project will utilize the latest reclaimed water technology and integrate sewer recycling experience of Rih Ding Water to establish a quality management mechanism of water resource. With monitoring equipment and abnormal water quality storage tank being installed, the BTO project will make sure the systems providing stable and quality reclaim water with advanced inspection mechanism. Along with that, AI simulation prediction and big Data will be established with Industry 4.0 application to auto-control equipment operations smoothly. The power supply will be mechanized based on peak time detection, saving more than 10% of electricity consumption. With environmentally low-impact and “ESG Reclaimed Water Demonstration Park” designs, the retained impounding reservoirs will create an ecological floating island park with origin trees. The plan is to improve flexibility of water resource for Taoyuan society, and create a thriving sustainable ecological environment with artistic landscape.
