Radium (2547 TW) announced to expand circular economy business

-To sign syndicated loans with bankers

-To participate in subsidiaries’ cash capital increase plans

Listed company Radium (2547 TW) announced its subsidiaries Jing Ding Green Energy Technology and Bao Ding Reclaimed Water had signed syndicated loans with bankers. Radium Group is planning to expand further investments in circular economy business and build up waste-to-energy and reclaimed water facilities in Taiwan.

Radium Group 70%-owned subsidiary Jing Ding Green Energy Technology, planning to develop the “BOT Project of Resource Processing Center in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park by Industrial Development Bureau,” is supported by bankers. With Chang Hwa Bank as the lead mandated arranger and syndicated with 6 other bankers, the total amount of syndicated loan reaches NT$ 4.3 billion. As environmental evaluation for the BOT project had been approved in 1H 2022, it’s estimated to treat 700 tons of general industry waste and sludge daily after the project completed. The syndicated loan is the first circular economy BOT project linked to ESG in Taiwan financial market. It links to the ESG performances reported in Radium annual sustainability report, with ESG indicators such as greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption intensity and waste volume, so as to evaluate the prime lending rate bankers provide to Radium.

Radium Group 70%-owned subsidiary Bao Ding Reclaimed Water, planning to develop“Reclaimed Water BTO Project of North District Water Resources Recycling Center in Taoyuan,” is supported by bankers also. With First Commercial Bank as the lead mandated arranger and syndicated with 7 other bankers, total amount of the syndicated loan reaches NT$ 2.93 billion. The BTO project is expected to complete the first phase in 2025, providing 40,000 metric tons of reclaimed water daily to supply reclaimed water to Guanyin Industrial Park and Taoyuan Refinery Plant. The overall target is to build up the largest "urban reservoir" in Taiwan, hoping to provide daily 112,000 metric tons of reclaimed water when the whole project accomplished.

Radium is planning also to participate in the cash capital increase plans for both subsidiaries Rih Ding Circular Economy Investment Holdings and Jing Ding Green Energy.  Rih Ding Investment Holdings, a 100% subsidiary of Radium, plans to issue 570,000 common shares with issue price NT$89.45 per share, based on its unaudited book value per share on July 31, 2022. Radium will fully subscribe the cash capital increase, total amount NT$50,986,500. When the capital increase completed, issued shares of Rih Ding Investment Holdings will reach 77.8 million shares.  In addition, Radium plans to support Jing Ding Green Energy to implement the “BOT Project of Resource Processing Center in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park by Industrial Development Bureau,” by subscribing its cash capital increase of NT$55.5 million, with issue price NT$10 per share. The paid-in capital of Jing Ding Green Energy will be NT$620 million when the capital increase completed.
