Radium (2547TW) & CTCI Strategic Alliance signed investment contract with Taoyuan City Government

for “Reclaimed Water BTO Project of North District Water Resources Recycling Center in Taoyuan” via project chartered corporation “Bao Ding Reclaimed Water Co., Ltd.”

Radium (2547TW) & CTCI Strategic Alliance participating in the public bidding for “Reclaimed Water BTO (build, transfer, operate) Project of North District Water Resources Recycling Center in Taoyuan,” was selected as the best applicant in Feb. 2022. The alliance signed investment contract with Taoyuan City Government on June 14, 2022, via project chartered corporation “Bao Ding Reclaimed Water Co., Ltd.”

Following concepts of ESG and net-zero carbon emission, Radium (2547 TW) is making further efforts into its circular economy business. The Taoyuan BTO reclaimed water system is planned to be integrated with Taoyuan sewerage recycling system managed by Radium’s subsidiary Rih Ding Water.  The goal is to build up the largest "urban reservoir" in Taiwan, hoping to provide daily 112,000 metric tons of reclaimed water when the whole project accomplished.

The base of project locates on north side of Taoyuan North District Water Recycling Center, at the Nanqing Section of Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, with an area of about 2.5 hectares. The permit period forecasted to be 18 years, including construction period of 3 years and operation period of 15 years. The first phase of project is expected to be completed in 2025, providing 40,000 metric tons of reclaimed water per day, with a reclaimed water treatment plant and water pipeline system reaching 29.92 kilometers to transmit reclaimed water to Guanyin Industrial Park and Taoyuan Refinery Plant, etc.

The chartered corporation Bao Ding Reclaimed Water will be supported by both Radium CTCI groups. With technology and experience integrating from Rih Ding Water, the BTO project is schemed to equip with patented bio-net membrane (BioNET) combining with membrane biological reaction (MBR) filtration for sewage pretreatment. By adopting technologies of selected filtering cloth, ultrafiltration membrane (UF) backwash water, reverse osmosis membrane (RO) with two-stage protection design, AI intelligent and early warning system, the system is prospected to ensure high quality of reclaimed water, with energy-saving and carbon-reduction benefits. Along with that, project building is designed to reach silver-level smart & green building certification, with solar panels installed.  The goal is to improve the flexibility of water resource in Taoyuan City, stabilize industrial water use, and increase employment opportunities and economic development in Da Taoyuan Park. Radium group and CTCI group will work together to build Taoyuan a city with abundant water resources.
