Strengthening Its Presence in Construction, Senior Living, and Circular Economy Markets
Dividend Distribution Plan: Enhancing Shareholder Returns and Corporate Stability
Radium (2547 TW) has approved its 2024 dividend distribution plan at the board of directors meeting. In consideration of the group's long-term stable operations and shareholders' interests, the company proposes to allocate NT$600 million from capital reserves for cash dividends. The estimated distribution is approximately NT$0.62 per share, based on 955.09 million outstanding shares as of December 31, 2024. The actual dividend per share will be determined based on the number of outstanding shares on the ex-dividend date. This initiative not only demonstrates Radium’s commitment to shareholders' interests but also strengthens the company's financial stability, laying a solid foundation for future market expansion.
Construction and Senior Living: Steady Growth and Market Expansion
Radium continues to deepen its presence in the high-end residential and senior housing markets. Its urban renewal project, "Radium One", is positioned as a premium residential property in a prime commercial district, featuring luxury two- to four-bedroom apartments. The project has received multiple national architecture gold awards and has recorded transaction prices exceeding NT$2 million per ping (3.3 m2) in the government’s actual price registration system, highlighting the market’s recognition of Radium’s construction quality and brand credibility.
In the senior housing sector, Radium’s flagship project, " The Genesis- Sanzhi," has sold out all 652 senior-friendly residential units across its first and second phases. The project includes one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 50 m2 to 109 m2 and integrates Le Tau Chu Senior Happiness Home services to provide a comprehensive senior-friendly environment. According to the WHO, the global senior market is projected to reach NT$1,122 trillion by 2025, while consumers aged 50 and above in the EU will contribute a total spending of €3.7 trillion. In Taiwan, government statistics indicate that by 2025, over 20% of the population will be aged 65 and above, with the senior market projected to be worth NT$3.6 trillion.
Leveraging its leadership in the senior housing market, Radium is launching the " Happy Life in Forest " project at Banqiao, integrating the Radium Perfect Life and Le Tao Chu – Banqiao Clubhouse. This initiative connects Far Eastern Memorial Hospital and Ming Lun Day Care Center, while also establishing the “Radium Real Estate Center” to expand into the micro-office space market, ultimately creating an age-inclusive living community.
Water Resource Recycling: Driving Sustainable Development
As Taiwan faces ongoing water resource supply and demand imbalances, the government continues to promote water recycling policies. According to the Water Resources Agency, Taiwan is implementing 11 reclaimed water plant demonstration projects, with a target of supplying 334,000 CMD (M³/day) of reclaimed water by 2026 and a goal of reaching 1.32 million CMD by 2031.
Radium actively supports government policies and is expanding its presence in the water recycling industry through BOT and BTO models. In the great Taoyuan area, its subsidiary Rih Ding Water is leading the Taoyuan Sewerage BOT Project, aiming to process 200,000 CMD of wastewater daily by 2047. Currently, the project has connected over 150,000 households, with 100,000 CMD of wastewater treated daily, of which 31,000 CMD is high-quality reusable water for industrial and firefighting applications.
Additionally, Bao Ding Reclaimed Water is advancing the Taoyuan North Reclaimed Water BTO Project, achieving an 88% pipeline completion rate by Q4 2024. The facility is already supplying 18,000 CMD of reclaimed water daily to Nan Ya Plastics and CPC Taoyuan Refinery. Upon completion in mid-2025, the daily supply will increase to 40,000 CMD, and once fully operational, the facility will have a total capacity of 112,000 CMD, making it the largest reclaimed water plant in Northern Taiwan.
