Radium (2547.TW) Announces Q1 2025 Business Performance and Strategic Developments
Steadily Advancing Construction, Senior Living, and Circular Economy Initiatives

Radium (2547.TW) held its investor conference today (May 13), releasing its Q1 2025 operational progress. The company continues to deepen its diversified expansion in construction, senior living, and circular economy business, steadily driving long-term group growth while enhancing shareholder value.

Optimizing Asset Allocation and Capital Structure to Strengthen Financial Health

Radium has implemented an asset revitalization strategy, with its subsidiary Li Chiang Development completing the sale of approximately 80,991 m² of land in the Taoyuan area in Q4 2024. The total transaction value reached NT$5.367 billion, with a pre-tax gain of around NT$3.5 billion. The transaction was completed in Q1 2025, further optimizing the overall asset portfolio and improving financial flexibility.

To further strengthen its capital structure, Radium’s subsidiary Rih Ding Investment Holdings completed a cash capital increase in March 2025, issuing 9.9 million shares at NT$96.24 per share, raising approximately NT$952 million. After the capital increase, its paid-in capital reached NT$975 million (based on a NT$10 par value per share), supporting strategic investments in the circular economy. Additionally, in January, Radium itself raised capital by issuing 80 million new shares at NT$10.3 per share, expanding its outstanding shares to approximately 1,035.09 million, further enhancing its capital base.

Advancing TOD and Urban Renewal Developments Leveraging Rail Economic Advantages

Radium is actively participating in joint development projects along the Taichung MRT, promoting the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) model. Projects include the Wenxin-Chongde Station, now in the pre-construction approval stage, and the Nantun and Wenxin- Yinghua Stations, currently undergoing urban design review and planning adjustments. These projects will incorporate smart green building designs, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and low-carbon (low embodied-carbon building rating system) certifications, aiming to create integrated developments that combine residential, transport, and commercial value.

According to data from the Taichung City Government, the Wenxin-Chongde Station recorded over 290,000 passenger trips in Q1 2025, ranking third among Taichung MRT stations, which saw a total of 4.08 million trips. This indicates high population density and commercial vitality in the area. With upcoming MRT expansions—including the Airport Line (Orange Line), the Blue Line extension to Taiping, and the Tuen District Circular Line—the region is poised to become a more dynamic rail-centric economic zone.

In Taipei, Radium is also advancing the urban renewal project on Guanqian Road, planning a 27-story, 5-basement-level, Grade A smart green office tower. The project is expected to receive plan approval by Q4 2025 and be completed by Q4 2030, injecting new energy into the city center’s commercial landscape.

Expanding Senior Wellness Services and Age-Friendly Housing

In the senior living sector, Radium is expanding in response to Taiwan’s aging demographics. According to Ministry of Finance, in 2024, individuals aged 65 and over accounted for 33.2% of all land-value taxpayers and 35.5% of house tax payers, reaching historical high. Their average landholding per household (150 m2) exceeds the general average by 24.7%. In collaboration with New Taipei City Government’s plan of Sanzhi Senior Innovation Cluster, Radium’s senior-friendly residential projects, phase I of GENESIS in Sanzhi is expected to be completed in Q3 2025, with phase II set for year-end 2025. The projects incorporate smart health management systems and UWB real-time positioning to create an integrated living environment combining leisure, care, and asset preservation.

Advancing Public Infrastructure and Urban Renewal Projects

Radium is continuing its efforts in urban renewal and public infrastructure. Its boutique residential project “Radium ONE” in Taipei’s Daan District is progressing on schedule, with expected completion in Q4 2026. Located near the Taipei Dome commercial area and city center, the project is expected to generate significant market interest. Meanwhile, the “National Palace Museum Administration Building and Library” was officially completed and opened in Q4 2024, showcasing Radium’s capabilities in public infrastructure. The social housing project "Dan Jin Housing" also broke ground at the end of 2024, with completion scheduled for 2029.

Expanding Smart Transportation and Digital Platform Applications

In the field of smart transportation operations, the subsidiary Wan Da Tong has been actively promoting smart ticketing applications. Its “Taipei Bus Station APP” currently has over 414,000 members and has accumulated more than 2.13 million tickets sold. By collaborating with maritime and ferry services, as well as local tourism operators such as Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, the app integrates a digital, cross-modal transportation information platform. These efforts have resulted in an energy-saving and carbon reduction of 4,277 kilograms, highlighting Radium’s diverse development in the realm of digital smart cities.

Deepening Resource Recycling, Advancing Smart Water Management and Green Construction

In the circular economy business, subsidiaries Rih Ding Water and Bao Ding Reclaimed Water continued promoting the Taoyuan North Water Resource Recovery Center BOT project and the reclaimed water BTO project. So far Rih Ding Water has contributed a public sewer connection rate exceeding 63% in Taoyuan. In end of Q4 2024, Bao Ding Reclaimed Water has stably supplied 18,000 CMD of high-quality reclaimed water daily to Nan Ya Plastics and CPC’s Taoyuan Refinery. By end of Q1 2025, approximately 94% of the reclaimed water pipeline to Guanyin Industrial Park had been completed. As Taiwan’s reclaimed water policies progress, reclaimed water has become essential infrastructure for industrial water resilience and carbon reduction. Radium will continue expanding its reclaimed water value chain, integrating AI technologies into construction, operations, and smart water management, building digital warning systems, water quality monitoring, energy recovery, and low-carbon construction systems, driving dual growth in smart green architecture and resource circularity.
