Radium Shareholders’ Meeting Announces Transition Toward a “Green Enterprise Determined to Uphold Sustainability”

Radium (TWSE: 2547) held its shareholders’ meeting today (June 9th). Chairman Lin Rong-shian stated that, in response to the rise of the AI industry, the arrival of a super-aged society, and the global net-zero transition, the company is steadily transforming from a traditional real estate developer into a cross-disciplinary integrated group centered on the vision of being a “green enterprise determined to uphold sustainability.”

The Group is focusing its long-term growth strategy on four major domains: Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) urban projects, wellness and senior living communities, smart water resource recycling systems, and public infrastructure development.

Recognition for the New National Palace Museum Project

The “New Construction Project for the Administrative Building and Library of the National Palace Museum,” undertaken by TiTan Development & Construction, a subsidiary of Radium, has been honored with both the “National Golden Award for Architecture – Outstanding Public Construction Award” and the “First Prize for Outstanding Public Construction.” In May 2026, Chairman Lin was also formally received and commended by the President, marking the development as one of the Group’s most significant flagship public infrastructure achievements in recent years.

The National Palace Museum Administrative Building and Library Project is a key component of the broader “New National Palace Museum Project.” TiTan Development & Construction successfully secured the contract for the project, with a total construction value of approximately NT$490 million. The development comprises a three-story administrative building and a two-story library, with a total gross floor area of approximately 7,256 m².

The project incorporates green building standards, intelligent building technologies, and energy-efficient design concepts, while also integrating the digitalization and advanced research functions required of a modern museum institution. Receiving the top honor in the National Golden Award for Architecture’s public construction category is widely regarded as a major milestone for Radium in its strategic expansion into large-scale public works and cultural infrastructure development.

According to Chairman Lin, the National Palace Museum represents far more than a cultural asset; it is also a powerful symbol of Taiwan’s cultural soft power. Corporate participation in the National Palace Museum project, he noted, is not merely involvement in construction, but participation in shaping Taiwan’s cultural legacy for the next century.

Expanding TOD Strategy: A North-Central-South Urban Tech Corridor
In the core real estate business, Radium has been actively expanding its TOD-driven urban renewal strategy, shifting from standalone developments to the management of key urban nodes. The Group is currently advancing three major projects across Taiwan, including the Guanqian Urban Renewal Project near Taipei Main Station, Taichung MRT joint development projects, and the Kaohsiung R17 World Games Station Urban Renewal Project. Together, these projects form a strategic corridor spanning northern, central, and southern Taiwan.

The Guanqian urban renewal project recently completed a syndicated loan of approximately NT$3.394 billion, jointly led by Taiwan Business Bank with participation from multiple public and private banks, achieving an oversubscription rate of 126%. Located in the core Taipei Main Station interchange hub, the project plans a 27-story Grade A smart green office tower, integrating 5G-based smart operations and low-carbon architectural design.

The Kaohsiung R17 project, with total investment exceeding NT$8.85 billion, is located near TSMC’s Nanzih facility and Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station. It is widely regarded as a key development in Southern Taiwan’s emerging semiconductor and technology corridor. The plan includes a 21-story industrial office tower, an 18-story corporate residential building, and the Qsquare Mall, all connected via an elevated pedestrian linkage system to the metro station.

As AI, semiconductor, and advanced technology industries continue shifting southward, Kaohsiung’s transformation into a technology-driven urban hub is accelerating. Large-scale TOD projects with industrial clustering advantages are expected to become key beneficiaries of future commercial real estate and urban redevelopment cycles.

Aging Society Drives Healthcare and Wellness Living Strategy
Beyond TOD development, the Group is actively entering the senior care and wellness housing market. Taiwan became a super-aged society in 2025, with citizens aged 65 and above exceeding 20% of the population. Demand for senior housing, smart care systems, and integrated health management is growing rapidly.

Radium’s “GENESIS” project is scheduled for phased completion in 2026. It incorporates health monitoring systems, smart positioning, emergency response infrastructure, and community integration design, aiming to create a residential ecosystem that combines living, healthcare, and wellness management.

Chairman Lin noted that future senior housing will no longer be a simple real estate product, but rather a continuous health service platform. The integration of silver economy technologies and healthcare services will become a major long-term domestic growth driver.

AI-Driven Water Demand: Smart Water Infrastructure as Critical Urban Resilience
In water resource and circular economy development, the Group’s subsidiary Bao Ding Reclaimed Water has officially launched the “Taoyuan North Reclaimed Water Center,” the first AI-enabled smart reclaimed water facility in northern Taiwan.

To date, Radium has invested over NT$17.5 billion in Taoyuan’s water infrastructure projects, serving more than 170,000 households with over 170 kilometers of sewer pipeline networks. Upon full completion, the Taoyuan North Reclaimed Water System will supply up to 110,000 cubic meters per day, becoming the largest reclaimed water facility in northern Taiwan. It will provide stable water supply support for technology and industrial zones.

Chairman Lin emphasized that reclaimed water is no longer merely an environmental initiative. It has become foundational infrastructure for industrial resilience and urban sustainability.

From Developer to Urban Sustainability Platform
Looking ahead, Radium will continue to deepen its capabilities in ESG governance, smart buildings, low-carbon construction, AI-driven management, and circular economy technologies. The Group aims to establish a scalable, replicable urban development model capable of generating long-term stable cash flows.

Over the next 50 years, urban competitiveness will no longer be measured solely by GDP, but by which cities can deliver more sustainable, healthier, and more resilient living systems. As Taiwan advances into an era defined by AI, demographic aging, and net-zero transformation, developers capable of integrating TOD planning, smart city systems, wellness ecosystems, and water infrastructure will play a pivotal role in supporting government policy and driving the next phase of urban evolution.
