RADIUM (2547 TW) Holds 2023 Shareholders Meeting

Listed company RADIUM (2547 TW) holds the 2023 shareholders meeting to approve 2022 financial report. The 2022 consolidated revenue was NT$5.86 billion, EPS0.08. 

Rong-Shian Lin, Chairman of RADIUM, said Radium is actively developing ESG sustainable blueprint, with three major business entities as its operation cores. The "sustainable city" starts with environmental friendly residential & commercial community planning, with smart green buildings as the must. The "circular economy" integrates group resources to develop renewable energy and recycling technology. The "elderly caring" responds to the trend of aged society and growing elderly demands by introducing elderly housing and professional caring teams. Radium obtains also ISO 14064-1 carbon inventory SGS certification years ahead of regulation requested, and receives the 2022 TCSA Taiwan Sustainable Report Gold Award for its ESG performances in different businesses, greenhouse gas management and sewage management.

Radium’s new development projects are all designed with digitalized smart green buildings. "RADIUM ONE," the reconstruction project with a site area of about 1,038 pings, was newly announced in May 2023. It plans to transform 16 aged buildings into one SRC steel-frame seismic building of 24-storey high and 4-floor undergrounded. Designed with ESG concept, the project aiming to obtain five building certifications, including WELL health building, green building, gold-level smart building, low-carbon building, and seismic-resistant building. The project is scheduled to complete in 2027. While the Taichung MRT joint development projects, Wenxin Chongde Station, Wenxin Yinghua Station, and Nantun Station are currently under urban design review, planning to obtain construction permits between 2H2024 and 1H2025. The cultural construction project, the administrative building and library building construction, National Palace Museum, has started construction in November 2022, with an estimated construction period of two years. 

For elderly caring business, Radium has launched Genesis 1 & 2 in Sanzhi integrated with homey elderly caring service from I Beautiful Life-Zhonghe with its elderly caring service awarded the “Symbol of National Quality award." The area of Genesis-Sanzhi is about 5,800 pings, with a low construction density of 30%, planning 3,200 pings of green space with more than 100 Taiwan-native tree species, and UWB system installed to accurately locate the residents' call for help.  Genesis-Sanshi is to create a demonstration base for Radium’s digital 5G health community. The Genesis 2-Sanzhi was announced in 2H 2022, with more than 130 units for sale, plans to complete by end of 2025.

As for the circular economy business, Rih Ding Water has connected approximately 128,000 households in the first quarter of 2023, with a daily sewage treatment capacity of 100,000 tons, of which 31,000 tons of reusable water can be provided daily to the public, including enterprises and firefighting departments. Rih-Ding Water therefore was awarded the first "Zero Net Green Living Competition" prize by the Environmental Protection Agency in April 2023. Another subsidiary Bao Ding Reclaimed Water is responsible for operating “Reclaimed Water BTO Project of North District Water Resources Recycling Center in Taoyuan.” The project starts construction in the second half of 2022 and undergoes geological improvement & excavation works currently. The first stage of water supply is expected to start in the second half of 2024, with an estimated daily delivery of reclaimed water around 10,000 tons to Taoyuan Refinery of Chinese Petroleum Corporation. The first phase of the BTO project is expected to complete in 2025, with a construction of approximately 29.92 kilometers of water pipeline and supply daily more than 40,000 tons of reclaimed water to Guanyin Industrial Park and Nanya Plastics Jinxing Plant in Taoyuan.

For operating business, Radium Kagaya International Hotel, with orthodox Japanese culture, has been cultivating in Taiwan for more than 10 years. In addition to using nearly four tons of Koshihikari rice per year, Radium Kagaya introduces also the new rice so-called “million grains,” developed yearly by Ishikawa Japan where Kagaya Japan is located.  Radium Kagaya plans to offer more traditional Japanese services to customers by combining crafts from the Noto Hanto Japan, with high-quality Japanese ingredients.
