Radium is awarded "2021 TCSA Sustainability Report-Silver Award"

Listed company RADIUM Group (2547 TW) announces its board of directors has approved the Company’s important business report of 2021.

Radium project “New Q Square” in Qingpu obtained building usage license in 4Q 2021. With 80% of the project having completed final walkthrough in December 2021, it’s expected to reach 100% project handover end of 1Q 2022. Radium is developing also urban renewal projects with green building and whole generation concepts, including projects at Taipei Gongyuan Section, TaiChung MRT stations, and Kaohsiung railway station.

Radium cooperates with New Taipei City Government to launch project “Youth Entrepreneurship at Fu-Jou” in its duo-diamond green community “Radium Perfect Life” with discounted rents to support the young in starting creative businesses. Radium releases also limited gardening residential units in Radium Perfect Life for sale, with 60 pings to 70 pings per unit, to extend health design into residences.

Radium has implemented ESG concepts in company operations these years. Radium’s subsidiary Rih Ding Water managing the Taiwan largest Taoyuan North District Water Resource Recovery System BOT, has won the " Golden Thumb Award" awarded by the PPP (Promotion of Private Participation) of the Ministry of Finance in 4Q 2021. At the same time, Radium is awarded also the "2021 TCSA Sustainability Report-Silver Award" by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE). Radium with Rih Ding Water have invested around NT$10 billion to complete 2^nd phase of sewage system by December 2020, and added 115 kilometers of pipeline into the underground network. Rih Ding Water is now reaching 110,000 households with capacity of treating 100,000 metric tons daily. The BOT project is planning to connect 191,000 households by 2026 with targets of reaching 251,000 households, and to increase system connecting rate by 44.72% in Taoyuan area with capacity of treating 200,000 metric tons daily at the end of the BOT.

Furthermore, Rih Ding Water developed sewage inspection technology during COVID-19 epidemic to support the Authorities in controlling pandemic. Rih Ding Water plans also to develop technologies of big-data analyses and AI artificial intelligence, with plans of digitizing 1.4 million sewage data daily to develop operating management and intelligent biological monitoring systems. In order to improve further quality of discharged water, Rih Ding Water adopts domestic filtering template and BioNET technologies cooperating with the Industrial Technology Research Institute to effectively filter fibers and reduce overall nitrogen concentration rate by 20%. Currently Rih Ding Water provides around 50,000 tons of managed reusable water to the Fire Department and around 6,000 tons to Taoyuan industrial parks. It’s expected to increase to 15,000 tons for industrial usage in the near future.
