RADIUM (2547 TW) releases Sustainability Report
-Radium wins Excellence Awards and Gold Award at 2023 FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards
Listed company Radium (2547 TW) releases the Company’s Sustainability Report (English version will be available in September). The Company wins also Excellence Awards and Gold Award at 2023 FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards for its sustainable innovation in the reconstruction planning and design for both urban aged building and elderly caring community.
Radium has introduced ISO 14064-1 since 2021 for greenhouse gas inventory, and reduced electricity usage by 6.1% in 2022 comparing to previous year. Project “Radium One” is introducing also building carbon footprint reduction assessment into construction. For subsidiary, Wan Da Tong Enterprise managing Taipei Bus Station has reduced 8.2% of power consumption in 2022 by installing power-saving motors and negative pressure exhaust facilities. Rih Ding Water managing Taoyuan North District Water Resource Recovery System, is developing power generation technology using biogas, the side product of sewage treatment. It’s estimated able to generate electricity more than 250,000 kWh annually when the technology is mature. Along with that, the sewage amount treated by Rih Ding Water in 2022 has increased by 17.7% while the waste reduced by 14%, comparing to 2021. By cooperating with Taoyuan municipal government, Rih Ding Water has provided fire department, industrials and the public a total of 36,911.5 tons of reclaimed water, equivalent to the water volume of 14.7 Olympic-level swimming pools, which is 175% more than that in 2021.
Radium to balance urban development and environmental sustainability, has fulfilled ESG concepts into business operations. Project “Radium One” in Da'an District, Taipei City has a site area of 3,431 square meters and a building coverage ratio of 49.98%. It’s planned to build a boutique luxury architecture of 226 households, 24-storey high and 4-storey undergrounded. By releasing more than 4 meters for open space on the road side along with the architecture, it will improve the pedestrian convenience and strengthen the disaster prevention function. In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, Radium One aims to obtain 5 building label certifications: including WELL Building Standard™, green building, intelligent building, structure accreditation building, and low-carbon building. The architecture is equipped with green areas and roof-top garden to reduce effect of urban heat island. “Radium One” utilizes intelligent three-dimensional scheme to realize residential comfort in business district with high-density population. It’s awarded therefore both the “Excellence Award” under the best urban reconstruction category, and “Gold Award” under the best planning & design category of 2023 FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards.
To match increasing demand for eldering caring, Radium launches elderly housing project “GENESIS-Sanzhi.” It’s designed to build a resort for senior with comfortability and livability for every generation. The project has a base area of around 19,385 square meters, planned to build 164 residential units for rental and 652 residential units for sale. With distinct architecture volume and structure to resist sea breeze and northeast monsoon, and proper building gaps for lighting and ventilation, the unique coastal and mountain views of Sanzhi enable GENESIS to create the community a nature park. Along with schemes of cherry blossom trail, elevated farms and family companion rooms, the community is connected as a whole through sharing accessible barrier-free spaces, supporting the senior to have a harmonious life. “GENESIS-Sanzhi” is awarded therefore the “Excellence Award” under the best planning & design category of 2023 FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards for its innovative design for elderly caring.
