RADIUM (2547 TW) announces to participate in the cash capital increase plan of Rih Ding Circular Economy Investment Holdings
Listed company Radium Life Tech. Corp., LTD. (2547 TW) announces its board of directors approved to participate in the cash capital increase plan of subsidiary Rih Ding Circular Economy Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. (aka Rih Ding Investment Holdings), with an amount of around NT$695 million. The issued shares of Rih Ding Investment Holdings will reach 75,650,000 shares when the capital increase completed.
Radium, through its 100% holding subsidiary Rih Ding Investment Holdings, has integrated the circular economy subsidiaries Rih Ding Water Enterprise and Ding Sheng Green Energy Technology. By increasing its investments in circular economy business and competitive advantages, Radium group has been selected the best applicant for open tenders of both “BOT project of Zhangbin Industrial Park Resource Processing Center” released by Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA, and “Reclaimed Water BTO project of North District Water Resources Recycling Center in Taoyuan” by Taoyuan City Government.
In order to implement Reclaimed Water BTO project in Taoyuan, Rih Ding Investment Holdings plans to issue 7,350,000 new shares with issued price of NT$ 94.6 per share, according to the net value per share dated on March 31, 2022. Total amount to raise will be NT$695.31 million. The cash capital increase will be fully subscribed by Radium. The paid-in capital of Rih Ding Investment Holdings will reach NT$756.5 million by then with NT$ 10 par value per share.
The Reclaimed Water BTO project in Taoyuan is proposing a priority plan to provide enterprises in Taoyuan Industrial Parks. It is estimated to supply over 40,000 metric tons of reclaimed water per day after completion of the first phase. The permit period forecasted to be 18 years, with construction period of 3 years and operation period of 15 years. The scope of project covering the reclaimed water treatment plant and pipeline system transmitting reclaimed water to Guanyin Industrial Park and Taoyuan Refinery Plant, etc.
Along with increasing demands of diversified water resources in Taiwan, reclaimed water has become an important environmentally friendly water source. The sixth-phased plan released by Construction and Planning Agency, MOI is focusing on continuous construction of sewage system, with recycling, intelligent and resilient designs. In addition, based on eco-friendly strategy, the EPA has strengthened control and management over water quality of sewage treatment plants and manufacturers in industrial zones, including water temperature discharged, hydrogen ion concentration, metals and suspended solids released. Rih Ding Water Enterprise has established a brand name of advanced technology recognized with its performance in managing Taoyuan North District Water Resources Recycling System. The Taiwan largest water resource system has reached 112,000 households in Taoyuan with capacity of treating 100,000 tons of sewage per day. Radium will continue to implement ESG with expanding investments in circular economy industry, with group's profession in water resources management, engineering planning and water treatment expertise.
